Barbera (vivace)

A traditional Piedmontese wine, this is a blend of 80% Barbera and 20% Freisa grapes. After ripening to the point where they produce a light must, the grapes are fermented in small barrels. Bottling takes place the following May, without any additional treatment or processing. The finished product could not be more natural. It celebrates the gifts of extraordinary vines enhanced by the purest organic winemaking techniques. With its deep ruby colour and well-rounded nose, it has all the flavour and character of Barbera as it used to be made. Served at room temperature or lightly chilled, it goes well with meat sauces, roasts and all full fat cheeses. |
